	Media Centre The Welsh Mountain Zoo Media Centre uses the latest in fully interactive touchscreen technologies and combines educational and fun gaming experiences using high-end graphics, sound and animation, and also incorporates streamed video. The set-up incorparates 4 separate touchscreen monitors all of varying heights to cater for children of all ages, and is easy in its functionality meaning the entire Zoo is at the users finger tips. The Media Centre is powered by open source technologies which allows a cheap but dynamic solution which, in-turn, powers the heart of the media centre. The project took 2 months from conception to the fully functioning system we have now. This process involved: - Database design - Programming - Graphic Design and Animation Development - Installation and Configuration of the open source server. 	Web Cam Along side the Media Centre, Livesolutions have installed the Zoo's first fully operational Web Cam in the African Aviary with more Web Cams on their way. This can be viewed in real-time at the Media Centre or on the new high-end website. Footage on the web site refreshes every minute, but will soon be 'streamed' for real-time online viewing. The Camera uses state of the art wireless technology so camaras can be placed where visitors can't normally see the animals. This opens up new avenues in the Zoo's role in educating and engaging visitors in the animals' day to day activities. Top of Page

	Weather Station The Weather Station enables visitors to be fully interactive with the zoo environment, for those using both the Media Centre and the web site. Features include: Temperature Guage, Wind Direction and Speed, Barometer and much more - everything a young potential meterologist would be interested in.

	Website Design The Livesolutiomns team have designed a high-end, fun and informative Web Site for the Welsh Mountain Zoo. The site concentrates on providing a highly functional and engaging visitor experience, and has been designed to incorporate further additions to the site to ensure visitors return to the site frequently. The site is both image and media rich, but has also been developed with web visability in mind and is, therefore, extremely search engine friendly. It also incorparates many of the Media Centre facilities, such as the Web Cam and the Weather Station features, which gives site visitors a sense that they are at the Zoo interacting in real-time, regardless of where they are in the world.
